IRB and SoTL: What You Need to Know
January 28, 2025 @ 2:30 pm - 3:50 pm
FreeAlmost half of all ISU faculty engage in SoTL research, you should, too!
Become part of the SoTL community of scholars at ISU.
The SoTL Scholars program brings faculty of all ranks, all disciplines, and any level of SoTL knowledge together to better understand teaching and learning through research and collaboration. The SoTL Scholars program is a community of faculty and a series of events that guide participants through the major components of SoTL research and provides resources along the way. You are encouraged to attend all six sessions offered throughout the year or to pick-and-choose as you wish.
IRB and SoTL: What You Need to Know
SoTL research involves doing research with human subjects, which requires oversight from the university’s Institutional Review Board (IRB). For some researchers, the IRB process is routine, while for others, it might be completely new. Join your colleagues as we explore the IRB application procedure, follow-through, and tips for success.
Featured Presenter: Raeann Ritland, IRB Post-Approval Monitor (PAM), Office of Research Ethics
