CELT Central

CELT Central serves as the administrative and operational hub of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching. This unit coordinates CELT’s initiatives, manages communications, and provides strategic support to Course Design and Quality, Enterprise Instructional Technology, Instructor Development, and Iowa State Online.

Enterprise Instructional Technology

The Testing Center provides secure, professional exam proctoring services for Iowa State University courses. This unit ensures academic integrity by offering a controlled testing environment for students, supporting faculty with exam administration, and utilizing technology to enhance the testing experience.

Course Design and Quality

The Course Design and Quality unit partners with faculty to develop engaging, student-centered courses. With a focus on instructional design best practices and continuous course improvement, this unit ensures that both in-person and online courses meet high academic and pedagogical standards.

Instructor Development

The Instructor Development unit supports instructors in enhancing their teaching effectiveness. Through workshops, mentoring programs, and consultations, this unit provides evidence-based strategies to improve classroom engagement and student success.

Iowa State Online

Iowa State Online delivers exceptional educational experiences from distinguished faculty at Iowa State University. This unit uses trusted and emerging technologies to meet the unique needs of students across the globe at any stage in their educational journey.
