Each year, the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost (SVPP) reminds the leadership of each college that all faculty members are required to participate in the ISU Annual Student-Centered Learning Workshop. Facilitated by the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), the workshop provides time to reflect, collaborate, and explore evidence-based strategies that strengthen teaching and learning.

The 2025–26 workshop, Teaching Toward Tomorrow: Strategies That Stick, focuses on strengthening teaching through reflection, collaboration, and research-informed practices that promote durable learning. Strategies shared will integrate thinking routines to deepen engagement and amplify student success. Grounded in Iowa State’s aspiration to be the most student-centric research university, the session empowers faculty to build on their expertise—and leave with at least one actionable idea to enhance student learning.

Important: Unlike previous years, there’s no pre-work necessary for this year’s program.

CELT brings enthusiasm and passion for their subject matter, and that enthusiasm is infectious.
