Documenting Scholarship: Scholarly Teaching and the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning
March 25 @ 2:30 pm - 3:50 pm
FreeAlmost half of all ISU faculty engage in SoTL research, you should, too!
Become part of the SoTL community of scholars at ISU.
The SoTL Scholars program brings faculty of all ranks, all disciplines, and any level of SoTL knowledge together to better understand teaching and learning through research and collaboration. The SoTL Scholars program is a community of faculty and a series of events that guide participants through the major components of SoTL research and provides resources along the way. You are encouraged to attend all sessions offered throughout the year or pick-and-choose as you wish.
Documenting Scholarship: Scholarly Teaching and the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning
Take a break from your busy teaching schedule to explore different ways to document your efforts. In this session, we’ll differentiate between scholarly teaching, the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), and discipline based education research (DBER) and review several different methods to clearly document the impact of your scholarly contributions.
Featured Presenter: Nancy Boury, Associate Professor, Plant Pathology, Entomology, and Microbiology
