  • Class Climate

    Class Climate helps to assess student learning and teacher effectiveness. Iowa State University uses Class Climate to conduct the end-of-semester student ratings of teaching surveys.

  • CidiLabs

    Cidi Labs’ tools (Cidiscape, DesignPLUS, TidyUP) empower instructors to create engaging, impactful, and accessible learning experiences more efficiently and effectively in Canvas.

  • Grammarly

    Grammarly is a digital writing tool that provides grammar and spell checking, plagiarism detection services, and suggestions about writing clarity, concision, vocabulary, style, and tone.

    The LinkedIn Learning platform is integrated into Canvas to provide supplemental resources and tools for student engagement, skill development, and career growth.

    Microsoft tools (MS Teams, OneDrive, OneNote, etc.) provide various benefits for teaching, enhancing the learning experience for students and streamlining the teaching process for instructors.

  • Respondus

    Respondus tools (Lockdown Browser, Exam Authoring Tool) offer a secure and integrated system for online assessments, enhancing academic integrity and providing flexible solutions to ensure fair and effective testing experiences.

  • Top Hat

    Top Hat offers a variety of ways to create an engaging in-class experience for multimodalities and is capable of syncing grades and class roster information with Canvas.

  • TurnItIn

    TurnItIn (DraftCoach, Gradescope, Originality) offers a comprehensive solution that not only helps in detecting potential plagiarism but also plays a significant role in teaching, feedback, and guidance to reinforcing academic integrity and proper scholarly practices.

  • Webex

    Web and video conferencing allow for meetings between individuals and small groups in remote locations while reducing travel time and costs. These services can conduct meetings between sites, collaborate with researchers in separate locations, and bring otherwise inaccessible experts into the classroom. The Webex link in Canvas connects to the external web conferencing tool.
