2024 CELT + Top Hat Innovative Educator Certification Workshop (Level 1) Foundations of Active Learning

The Level 1 Workshop will equip you with the skills to make the most of Top Hat’s core features, enabling you to adopt, customize and create interactive educational content, leverage Top Hat’s AI & assessment tools to see what students are understanding (or not understanding), and better engage your students—before, during and after class.

Why Participate?
 A Top Hat innovative educator certificate is an official recognition that you have been trained by a Top Hat trainer in an interactive session that offers insight into classroom engagement techniques with Top Hat. Upon completion, you will receive an official electronic certificate that can be shared with your network on social media. 

Eligibility:
 No previous experience with Top Hat is required to attend

Requirements:
 
  • Participants must attend the full 2 hour session in order to qualify for the certification 
  • Please bring along your own laptops and mobile devices to ensure you are able to participate 

Workshop Learning Objectives: 
  • Create your account and organize your course in a way that best aligns with course learning objectives, context and goals 
  • Learn how to move your own course content into Top Hat quickly and easily
  • Identify the various tools in Top Hat that foster peer to peer connection, including those that leverage Top Hat’s generative AI capabilities for instructors
  • Incorporate strategies for effectively engaging students outside of traditional class time


* Lunch will be provided by CELT
