Large Enrollment Community of Practice

October 4 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Virtual Event Virtual Event
Free

CELT’s communities of practice are topic-based cross-disciplinary groups of faculty who meet to discuss topics related to teaching and learning. Communities of Practice are designed to provide a space for meaningful conversations about teaching and learning with the facilitation of CELT staff (some communities also have faculty co-facilitators).

The Large Enrollment Community of Practice is for instructors of courses with sections that enroll 100+ students. The purpose of this community is to:

  • Support instructors who are teaching large enrollment courses.
  • Build community and connection across disciplines.
  • Connect instructors to resources and solutions.

October Focus: Athletics Department

Hear from an Athletics Department representative about what it’s like to be a student athlete at ISU and how their athletics impacts their life as a student. The remainder of the session will provide participants with the opportunity to discuss their teaching, brainstorm ideas, and share feedback.

Email Krista Klocke, CELT Instructor Development Coordinator, with interest or questions.

If you need a reasonable accommodation, you may find more information on the University Human Resources Disability Accommodation page. For graduate student assistants and undergraduate students, please get in touch with Student Accessibility Services.
