The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) proudly hosts the annual CELT Teaching Symposium, a vibrant gathering of new faculty members to Iowa State that provides thought-provoking discussions, spirited dialogues, and one-on-one technology assistance. This symposium is a testament to our unwavering commitment to nurturing dynamic teaching practices and fostering student success at Iowa State University.

Invitations will be sent to new faculty and staff with a teaching role before August 1, 2024.

Symposium Goals

  • Identify the practices and resources for effective teaching and learning.
  • Explore student support resources and services available.
  • Discuss the CELT services, support, and development opportunities for educators.

Mark your calendars to join us on August 20, 2024, for a morning of fellowship to kick start your fall 2024 semester with National Speaker Dr. Bettyjo Bouchey. Dr. Bouchey is an expert in academic innovation, online teaching and learning, and high-impact practices. She will share actionable tips and strategies that instructors can implement in the classroom as they kick off the fall semester.
